Entry 11

Pretty sure I've seen that same cloud for a while now, like a couple of days. The one that looks like the Empire State Building.

Everything's really still to. I mean, I'm usually the first to complain, but I honestly miss New York's weather right now. At least that wasn't still.

This is starting to freak me out.

Uh...it's called Shuppet.

[Shuppet floats past the screen. He's easily amused by his trainer]

Caught it without trying if you can believe it.

... they're not really creative with names 'round here, are they? Girafarig, Shuppet, Meowth...

[ So is Hanekoma. The little ghost is interesting, though, and his eyes don't leave it while it's onscreen. ]

Nope. Pidgey. Totodile. They gotta start coming up with some new names.

Wonder if folks named 'em after the things they say, or the Pokemon started sayin' 'em after they got their names. Probably the latter, with some a' the names these guys have got.

I'd ask the locals, but they can't seem to talk about anything but quests and adventure.

Wouldn't be surprised if there were a whole bunch of people teaching 'em weird names.

Yeah, that's really weird to. I mean, the Joys are helpful, but everyone else...

With you there. Never met cops who just call off a search after a couple days, and it's a little creepy how you can't tell anybody apart. The cops and nurses, and all.

[identity profile] usedsuitup.livejournal.com 2010-10-25 08:36 pm (UTC)(link)
They have little differences that let you tell them apart. They wear different perfumes and stuff, at least the Joys do. [Yes he notices stuff like that]

But yeah, the relaxed nature of the cops is kind of frightening. This place is peaceful, yes, but still.

Hadn't really noticed. Guess I've been distracted by the Pokemon, haven't been keepin' too close an eye on the people, lately.

Wonder how it all got this way. You'd think havin' normal folks try to catch and tame huge super-powered animals would be a recipe for disaster.

Hard not to notice people when you work in a pokemon center.

They must have trained them really well. Or maybe there's laws we haven't heard of.

[identity profile] usedsketch.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 02:02 am (UTC)(link)
But it's like a whole world a' half-domesticated animals, and they seem to go from wild fighters to friendly pets pretty fast. Never heard a' one trashing a city or killing a human. Wonder if there's something that causes it...

One way or another, this place sure is interesting.

[identity profile] usedsuitup.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 03:54 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe. Wouldn't be surprised if it happened. I think I remember a few episodes of the TV show where one of the pokemon snapped or something.

[identity profile] usedsketch.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 03:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Can't say I watched any a' it, myself, but I've had to deal with the merchandise a lot. So I know what it is.

[ Mostly. He can probably tell you Pikachu's name, that's good enough, right? ]

Maybe they'll be throwin' more obstacles at us. Like the nightmares and the fog, were you around for that?

[identity profile] usedsuitup.livejournal.com 2010-10-27 05:32 am (UTC)(link)
Yup. Got that Shuppet out of it. And a trip down bad memory lane.

[That was not fun, reliving the biggest embarrassment of his life]
